Now the fact is that I have always liked Cubans, at least those Cubans of my age who fled from the Communist government of the Castro brothers, first Fidel and now Raúl, which last is pronounced Rah-OOL. But my kind of Cubans are not liked by the Cuban communists, who refer to them as 'gusanos', which means 'worms'. I counter by referring to my Cubans as 'gusanos de seda', which means 'silkworms' because they have been very industrious since they have arrived here in Miami.

Meanwhile, back on the Island Prison, as my Cubans like to say, Raúl is probably no better than Fidel, but at least he is not as stark raving mad as Fidel is or was. God knows what has become of the Maximum Lunatic.

While I dislike the Cuban regime, I may wish that Cuba is spared a Miami Banana Republic brand of politics.

Like I say, Banana Revolution is the way to go.

If I had my revolution in Cuba, people would the rafting in the opposite direction.

Quality of life here is very low. There's enough riches but people live in fear. You won't even see people walking and riding bikes.
