I think she should be doing proper of her age, not driving SUVs or dating young boyfriends.

Though the SUV certainly would make her attractive to the younger crowd. Most SUVs are driven to appeal to the opposite sex. Is that why she does it?

This may seem arbitrary, even tyrannical, but I haven't seen many motorcyclists riding after 65. They must be wise enough to retire. Drivers simply trust the cage will protect them in an accident. The young too must be protected from riding a motorcycle under 25. We are losing too many kids. Wisdom of motorcycling for the drivers at large. You don't want something bad to happen to the young or the old, and you don't want them to do bad to other people. I think you are wise when you are on two wheels. Make that three wheels as well.

Teenagers should ride a bicycle until they get their driver's license at age 25.

The elderly should not drive after 65. They have other transportation choices.

The revolution will not be motorized. Too many people on the road, too much pollution. There's nothing democratic about driving. Bicycling is democratic.

Why don't they advise people to stop driving SUVs because they are dangerous to other people? They are doing the same negative campaign against smokers, but they ultimately only kill themselves.

SUVs aren't that much more dangerous to other people than any other
vehicle. Certainly less dangerous than a big truck.

Not any idiot can drive a large truck. They must go extensive training or else we would have catastrophic accidents every day.

Why do the control-freak propagandists like to pick on SUVs?

Because they represent a symbol of waste and arrogance. It's like they do they do the opposite when should be changing our ways toward a polluted planet. The very people who should be leading by example are show off their contempt for the rest of humanity.

Heh. Most of the truck drivers I know learned from their fathers, or
from friends who drove trucks. My little brother does it, and hasn't
had a lick of formal "training".

They still have to get the CDL to drive a semi. It's not a joke like the regular driver's license.

Having said that, most of the accidents you hear about involving a car
and a semi, the driver in the car did something stupid, like pull in
front of the truck and hit the brakes. I guarantee that, no matter how
good the truck driver is, he's not gonna manage to stop 80,000 pounds as
quick as your Honda.

They are pretty much the only ones signalling to change lanes and passing on the left. The SUVs bully their way around more often than not.

The real arrogance and contempt can be found in the control freaks who
believe they are our special self-appointed guardians who should be able
to choose what is best for the lives of other people they don't even know.
SUVs are a symbol all right, they are a symbol of freedom of choice and
individuality. And that's something the neototalitarian ecopuritans
simply cannot abide. Talk about giant egos.

It's freedom when the symbols you choose reflect who you are. It's
slavery when you need symbols to define who you are.

SUVs= Selfish Unnecessary Vehicles

It's very selfish to choose a vehicle that gives you a degree of safety at the expense of others.

Some GMO have already been proven to kill animals. Some animals won't eat them. They are against the law in some countries.

So you want to go to heaven in a hatchback? What about a Honda Civic or a Suzuki motorcycle? You can get some motorized scooters, or even get a bicycle with a motor attached.

I don't want to go to Heaven, but you may certainly have a greater chance by being humble and frugal. After all, that looks more like Jesus. If you drive an SUV you'd be like an arrogant Roman.
