then I don't want to go either because I love yogurt (I mean, I LOVE yogurt).
The bacteria have their own good vs. evil.

Good bacteria vs. bad bacteria.

The question is why God created the bad bacteria.

Better question
Why would there have to be a god to create bacteria ?

To give us yogurt?

That was a pretty fine job of miniaturization though. That must have taken some advanced degree in chemistry and a digital microscope.

Unless God himself is microscopic.

I've no doubt "bad" bacteria don't see themselves a bad. They merely see us as food.
Wakalukong
Sure, but don't they see they are attacking the very pinnacle of God's creation? I mean us.

If bacteria could post, they'll tell you that they are the pinnacle of god's creation.
Wakalukong
They sure follow the command of "multiply and conquer." Humans may be here for them to exist.

Well, yes. The idea of God being microscopic is just silly. He's bigger than the Universe.

I just thought about this question. The Universe doesn't make sense, so God makes even less sense. Ergo, he's bigger.

Not correct. When we die a natural death, the good guy bacteria still win. Death is part of the winning formula.

The good guys and as well as the bad guys die with us, I think.

all bacteria have their place, it's up to us to improve our immune systems.
How, praying for the evil bacteria to die?
nope, pray for wisdom in selecting good food for eats.
Praying and wisdom are a contradiction.
have you ever prayed for wisdom?
Does the Wise need to pray?

Not the Wise TibetanMonkey. The Wise practice PREVENTION. He follows the Laws of Nature.

He trusts Science. And He follows his own common sense.

Yes, we must face manmade Climate Change.

May have soul-eating bacteria.
Wakalukong
Maybe but bacteria like flesh.

Let me tell you another possibility. God doesn't want the soul to be contaminated with bacteria, so he puts the soul through reverse osmosis.

The soul must be free from earthly contaminants. Maybe he boils the souls until they are pure.

..yep. That's what he did to poor old Jeebus juest before his
daddy "God" stuck'im in a 12 year old girl. Must have sucked to
be Jeebus.
Yep, Jesus was free of bacteria. He was the product of osmosis.

Tibetan Monkey, what do you mean by bacteria like flesh? What we like depends on what's available. We evolve to like what's available. Heaven bacteria like soul.
Wakalukong
The "soul" is a religious metaphysical concept, and bacteria like meat. It may be said that bacteria would starve to death feeding on the soul.

God helps those who help themselves.
Then what the fuck is god good for?
God may have a placebo effect. It works on the pituitary.

But I think it makes you happy, then depresses you.

The good bacteria are the ones wearing the white hats and using Apple
devices. The bad bacteria are the ones wearing black hats and using
Windoze and Android devices. ;-)
I don't know what they'll do in Heaven without their beloved devices.
Actually I know many Christians that are more addicted to the smart phone than to the Bible.

Could it be because the Bible is dumb and boring?

They'll sure miss the smart phone in Heaven.

Of course there are Apple devices in Heaven ... we all know Steve Jobs
is God and he went back there to make sure the Apple Store in Heaven
(with iCloud9 servers) was still clean and tidy. ;-)
Buggy, malware-ridden Windoze and Android are all you get in Hell, and
Bill Gates will be down shortly to scam you into the latest version of
Microsoft's garbage.
I'd expect God to restrict the Internet to religious issues. No free thinking or porno. Not that Christians care about free thinking.
We have no reason to believe that God would be more tolerant than the Taliban. I think music would be banned as well.

The Internet and music are a distraction from the true purpose of life, which is to worship God.

Us multi-celled organisms are pretty much _constructed_ of bacteria. We are bacteria's way of colonising environments that bacteria can't live in on their own.
Our blood-stream is a synthetic ocean.

"The human body contains about 100 trillion cells, but only maybe one in 10 of those cells is actually -- human. The rest are from bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms."
Those human cells are just specialised bacteria working in teams.
But there's war going on inside us, right? Sort of good vs evil. ;)

The good guys win in the beginning but lose in the end. Then we die.
