(According to a report published this week in the British medical journal The Lancet.)

Fast action is needed

"The report also states politicians who fail to act to implement changes and tackle those issues is at the core of the problem, and that the technologies and financing methods to address the problem exist."

***

I've been combating denial for several years before I can even get to do something practical. Now here it is...

"Improving air quality and burning less fossil fuel could reduce respiratory diseases, the report found, while walking and cycling instead of relying on cars or public transport could cut traffic accidents and reduce obesity, diabetes, stroke, and coronary heart disease rates."

I wonder what Jesus has in mind. Politicians and Christians don't believe in climate change. Maybe Jesus will play his revenge for the world being so dumb and evil. Right, he needs to drop this species and apply his great plans in another planet. Yes, yes, there are plenty of planets out there.

We can counteract "Global Warming" by
simply switching to light colors for
all our roads, rooftops, parking lots
and the like. As a matter of fact, just
doing it for the 100 largest cities in
the world would make a substantial
difference.
Funny, isn't it, how all the "Global
Warming" solutions map to peak oil and
NOT this so-called "Climate Change."
I mean, isn't it funny how the True
Believers don't notice?
"But... but... my TV told me so it must
be true!"
I don't think there's a single strategy to fight climate change other than making frugality the "in" thing.

If we launched a campaign against wasteful behavior the same way we attack tobacco, we would be able to win this fight.

Exactly. Other than addressing peak oil, the
energy shortage, there is no "Solution."
So all the solutions map to something other than
global warming.
Jesus denies climate change because he says only he is real.

Well, he had an affair or twenty. I don't think he spanked the monkey.

We are discussing the fact that he had an affair with Mary Magdalene.

How can a god and a mortal get married? It's not in the books.

I thought only the Greek gods procreated with the mortals.

They were the best until Jesus came and became a loser.

That's why we have you here. ;)

We generally lack good education on religion and paganism. Do we teach who Hera was?

Would she approve of gay marriage?

He wore a beard, which was a married man's mark.
