Well, you appeal to the natural curiosity of animals. The lion goes, "Hey, what's that?" All animals have this natural curiosity to explore their surroundings and try new things. Not the Christians, of course. There's something about the Bible that kills the natural curiosity in man.
And why would you want to catch a lion anyway? Is your life in danger or are you trying affirm your masculinity? Curiously the lion figures prominently in the Biblical mythology. The lion will sit next to the lamb.
